Moverjet to hire 2,000 workers from Philippines

Bollore Logistics has hired 2,100 workers from the Philippines to work on its MoverJet aircraft, the company announced Thursday.

The workers will be the first to fly on the aircraft from the country’s capital, Manila, and will be employed as the company’s first flight crew members.

The company said the move is a strategic move that will increase its workforce in the Philippines.

“We are delighted to have a Filipino crew on board the new Mover Jet aircraft, which is set to take off from Baguio City on July 17,” the company said in a statement.

“Our goal is to increase our workforce in Manila, where we are committed to hiring thousands of new crew members.”

Bollore, the Philippines’ largest logistics company, was founded in 2003 by former President Benigno Aquino III and is currently based in the United States.
